The Brothers’ War Prerelease events are your first chance to experience the epic clash between Urza and Mishra that shaped the face of Dominaria! Celebrate Magic’s 30th Anniversary with special promos earned by attending multiple events. With Jumpstart, Sealed, and Draft events, there’s something for beginners and veterans alike.
Jumpstart Prerelease – Friday 11/11, 4:00pm and Saturday, 11/12, 4:00pm
Jumpstart prerelease is perfect for newer players or those wanting a faster prerelease experience. Players get two Brothers’ War Jumpstart boosters, which are shuffled together to make a 40-card deck.
Play is in 3 swiss-style rounds. Every participant who plays three rounds receives 2 Brothers’ War set boosters and the player with the best record receives 2 additional boosters.

Sealed Deck Prerelease – Friday 11/11, 7:00pm and Sunday, 11/13, 1:00pm
Sealed deck is the classic prerelease experience, great for new and seasoned players alike. Participants receive a prerelease pack which includes six draft boosters, a spindown life counter, and a foil promo card. Each player creates a minimum 40-card deck from among the cards in the prerelease pack; basic lands are also provided.
Play is in swiss-style rounds of best-of-three matches. Prizing is in Brothers’ War Set Boosters, with 2.5 boosters in the pool per player. In addition, random prizes will be awarded after each round, and any undefeated players (all wins or draws) will receive a voucher for entry into a Standard format tournament in the Brothers’ War Season.

Draft Prerelease – Saturday 11/12, 12:00pm and Tuesday 11/15, 6:30pm
New for The Brothers’ War, draft events can be held during prerelease week! Experienced players will enjoy the extra layer of strategy involved in drafting a card pool. Each player receives three Brothers’ War draft boosters for drafting, plus the basic lands needed to make a minimum 40-card deck.
Play is in swiss-style rounds of best-of-three matches. Prizing is in Brothers’ War Set Boosters, with 2.5 boosters in the pool per player. MTG 30th Anniversary Promos
Prerelease events are the only way to earn special 30th anniversary promos! The winner of Friday’s sealed event will receive the 1999 promo, a Chinese language Loyal Retainers. Other promos for this set:
